The Music Nerd API serves the data behind Music Nerd and runs the research that builds an artist's profile: finding their profiles, reading what's written about them, and writing their Lore and About.

Base URL: https://musicnerd-api.vercel.app. Staging, on the staging database: https://musicnerd-api-staging.vercel.app. These docs call production when you read them on their production URL, and staging on a preview.

Every reference page has a Try it panel that sends the request from your browser and shows the live response.

Conventions

Responses are flat JSON: { "status": "ok", ... } on success and { "status": "error", "error": "<message>" } on failure. There is no data wrapper.
Every endpoint answers CORS preflight, so a browser on any origin can call it.
Artist and account IDs are UUIDs. The same artist has a different ID in staging and production.
